Learn about Blue Dragon
Since its small beginnings in 2003, Blue Dragon has become a powerful force for change on the streets of Vietnam, both in the bustling cities and in rural areas where poverty is widespread.
Blue Dragon offers children and families in crisis the chance to turn their lives around, providing practical solutions to the daily problems that are keeping poverty alive.
For children in Vietnam who are born into poverty, there is little hope for the chance of a better life.
More than 66% of the population lives in rural areas, where rice farming is the major industry and whole families earn as little as $1 – $2 a day.
Children growing up in extreme poverty often have no choice but to quit school and move far from home, exposing them to dangers such as trafficking, homelessness, sexual exploitation, drug abuse, and illness.
Blue Dragon believes that every child deserves exceptional care so they can grow and flourish.
All services are holistic, including rescue and crisis care for young people in immediate danger; shelter; legal advocacy; and long term support to return to school and training.
Bleu Dragon helps kids in crisis throughout Vietnam.
They work with street kids, runaway children, victims of human trafficking, children with disabilities, youn rural-urban migrants, kids affected by drugs and HIV/AIDS, homeless families, child prisoners, and the rural poor.

Learn about the Dragon Valley Project
Background
Dragon Valley is a rural healing center for children suffering trauma. Located 55km from Hanoi, Dragon Valley is a 16 acre property operated by Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation since November 2018 to be developed as a unique retreat and social enterprise that also has a positive impact on the natural environment.
Vision
Dragon Valley will become a rural paradise that is fully self-sustaining, in harmony with the earth, and brings healing to the soul.
Purpose
Amidst the hills and valleys of the property, Blue Dragon and Help For Hope will create two child-friendly play and camping areas where young people can relax, meditate, play games, and camp overnight surrounded by nature. The whole 16 acre property will be transformed by the creation of toilets, showers, electric and water system, proper fencing and land reinforcement. At a later stage the vision is to have a vegetable garden and a chicken pen.
