Thrilled to be chilled event information

This will be the second Ice Swimming with an Ice Mile event on the 10th February 2018. You will have 3 distances; 450m, 1k and for the acclimatised the Ice Mile (a skins/standard swimwear only swim).

You will be able to enjoy this stunning setting while pushing your boundaries in a safe and controlled environment. Distances will be 450m, 1k & a 1 mile swim on the day. Plus we will have the ‘Chilly Dip’ which is as it suggests a quick Dip in the chilly waters. Due to the nature of this swim and to ensure the safety of all participants, swimmers will have to adhere to the following: Each swimmer must bring along a ‘buddy’ to the event.

There will be a fully qualified Doctor, Paramedic plus First Aiders on site during the course of the event including after the swim to make sure everyone warms up and recovers.

Swimmers must be a regular attendee at Vigour Winter Swim Sessions or maintain and present a weekly winter swim log
A cut off time of 40 minutes will apply for the 1 mile swim, 30 minutes for the 1k and 15 minutes for the 450m.
Provide complete medical form by their doctor, including an ECG.
